Believing and being
I came across my old diary and was going through the memories it binds in the form of the words, thoughts and ideas. It reminds me of a good teacher and friend, Dr. Chandrashekhar Bhatnagar. He gifted me “The Inner Journey” by OSHO on my 23rd B’day in 2001. I do not know why he felt the need to introduce me to the world of OSHO back then. I do not remember if I ever completely read the book. But I do remember that I read it because I found scribbled in my diary the concept of Equanimity – that love is an internal phenomenon. There may be external elements which stimulate the feeling, the energy, but it arise from the core of heart or soul and stays there, within us.
I remember, I totally agreed to this knowledge because I believed in it (and so do my diary says). But it did took a lot of time from knowing something to experiencing and living it. 14 years from then to now. Knowing a concept to it becoming a way of life, and all the struggle that goes in-between!
True, it is just a matter of time that we go from Believing to Being. Just that sometimes, this time can be 14 years.
