It’s Winter Again

It is that time of year again when the Grey is back; sun is in hiding, too lazy to show its face. Cold is hell bent to penetrate deep inside the bones and shiver the nerves. Body is contracting in itself, like it is also ready to hibernate and snooze …

…the time to delve in silence and get ready before the time to bloom arrives.

With my eyes closed, I can see the vapours rising out of cup of hot tea out somewhere in the fog enveloped street; a bonfire lit in some corner. I can smell the freshly baked cinnamon rolls; can feel the flavour of hot tomato basil soup. I can feel the warmth of the blanket and the cold hands of kiddos that I would rub to warm.

I would love how the world will become so small like my vision. I could only see what will be very close and the rest of it would be hazy and cold…

Sun will be missed with longing and welcomed with a smile when it shows for a brief moment…

I will be dull yet alive craving for warmth….

Winter, I love you for so many possibilities!
